The problem of terminological complexity in the understanding of the old believers

Abstract

статья посвящена проблемам, с которыми сталкивается исследователь при изучении феномена старообрядчества, интерпретации непосредственно самих терминов «старообрядчество» и «старообрядец». Проанализированы с религиоведческих позиций различные взгляды ученых на сущностные характеристики данных терминов. Annotation: The article is devoted to the problems faced by the researcher in the study of the phenomenon of old believers, the interpretation of the term “old believers”and” old believers”. Different views of scientists on the essential characteristics of these terms are analyzed from the religious positions.
