The problem of the interpretation of an alibi in criminal procedure law

Abstract

In the article, based on the analysis of the legislative definition of the term "alibi", as well as the opinions of scientists who proposed the author's definitions of an alibi, an attempt was made to examine the nature of the alibi as a criminal procedure phenomenon. The directions of the broad interpretation of the alibi in the domestic science are considered, recommendations for improving the regulation of this phenomenon in the criminal procedure legislation.
