On the establishment of criminal liability for illicit enrichment

Abstract

in the article the authors consider article 20 of the UN Convention against corruption, which defines the list of the most dangerous corruption crimes and refers to the number of mandatory criminalization in the national legislation of the act relating to illicit enrichment. The paper notes that, despite the recommendations of the UN Convention, the issue of criminalization of illicit enrichment in the Russian criminal law still remains unresolved. In this regard, the authors consider it necessary to support the opinion of scientists who believe it is expedient to introduce this rule into the criminal code of the Russian Federation, while offering their own version of the article.
