Legal regulation of new types of offenses in the USA

Abstract

The article discusses American experience in legal regulation of new types of offenses related to the use of modern information and communication technologies, one of which is sexting, viewed in various aspects of its destructive impact on juveniles. The paper also considers the problem of application of sexting laws in several states within the decentralized system of American justice, as well as the correlation of these laws with other legal instruments regulating liability for causing moral and mental harm to minors.
