Religious policy of the state towards schismatics in the middle of the 19th century (regional aspect)

Abstract

The article analyzes the number and structure of schismatic religious organizations, based on the material of the Vladimir province. The attitude of the regional authorities towards the representatives of non-canonical Christianity is considered as one of the main directions in the implementation of the religious policy of the autocratic state. The article also covers administrative, managerial and legislative measures to combat schismatic’s.
