Language education and people`s legal literacy: problems of interaction between lawyers and citizens

Abstract

the article examines the role of the linguistic factor in the formation of the legal literacy of citizens and the professional competence of lawyers. The paper presents a systemic analysis of the English language of law and ways of adapting the text of a legal document for a more accurate understanding of its contents by non-professionals.
