Legal mechanisms for protecting the institution of the family at the local government level: current trends

The family has always been at the center of the state's attention, as it is not only a unit of society, but also one of the fundamental factors of national security. But the collapse of the USSR, the constitutional and economic crisis affected not only politics and economics, but also negatively affected the development of society, in particular, the institution of the traditional family and its protection. In the article, the author analyzed the issue related to the development of legal mechanisms in the field of protecting the institution of the family at the local government level, taking into account modern realities, based on the opinions of the scientific community and the regulatory component. In addition, the author proposed "measuring" approaches for constructive goal-setting in family policy and overcoming the demographic crisis.
