Abstract

The article deals with the essence and differential peculiarities of such concepts as the innovative capacity of the region, innovative system and subsystem, innovative economy. The authors consider the structure of the innovation potential of the region. As a result of investigating the structure of the region's innovative capacity they make the case for the necessity of determining the scientific and technical potential and innovation infrastructure as its component, and the necessity of the development of innovation and industrial clusters.
