Abstract

The permanent legitimacy of the actions of officials representing the state is an unattainable ideal. The state must ensure that there is an effective mechanism to restore the violated rights of citizens affected by illegal actions of law enforcement officials. The authors believe that the effectiveness of this process depends on a fair mechanism for determining the amounts to be compensated, a common approach in all subjects of the Russian Federation.
