The term «combating crime» is widely used in legislation and legal science. At the same time, there remain unresolved issues related to the definition of the essence of this concept, which includes three areas of activity: crime prevention, combating it and minimizing and eliminating the consequences of crimes. the Author's team explores the problems of determining the content of the concept of «crime prevention», using the analysis of the current Russian legislation.
