Abstract

An attempt to assess the role of venture capital for financing the activities of small and medium-sized businesses is given in this article. The dynamics of the global venture capital market is presented, its structure is analyzed from the point of view of the participation of different countries and regions in the venture financing of startups. In addition, the article assesses the impact of the 2020 crisis on the venture capital market.
