Communitarianism as the philosophical basis of the academic course «Foundations of Russian statehood»

Abstract

The article is devoted to the philosophical basis of the new course for universities in the Russian Federation. The main focus of the research is communitarianism as a modern direction of social philosophy, which is in harmony with the philosophical quest of Russian thinkers of the 19th century. Today, communitarianism is interpreted as an alternative to the duality of communist and liberal interpretations of the individual-society-state relations.
