The reasons for the manifestation of the digital ruble and the prospects for development of this legal institution in Russia

Abstract

Recently, the issues of the introduction of digital currencies have been the most discussed among economists from all over the world. The digital ruble is a digital version of the currency issued by the Central Bank (CBDC–Central bank digital currency), and in its key characteristics does not differ from cash and non-cash funds. The article is devoted to the consideration of the actual problems of the manifestation of the digital ruble and the prospects for its development in Russia.
