On the issue of criminalization of stalking in Russia

Abstract

The article discusses the prospects of criminalization of stalking in Russia. The emphasis is on understanding the term «stalking». The author examines the identity of the stalker (stalker) and the victim. The types and forms of persecution are analyzed. A comparative legal analysis of the criminalization of persecution is carried out. Special attention is paid to cyberstalking, which is due to the development of the Internet. The author comes to the conclusion that legal regulation of stalking and responsibility for it is necessary.
