Transformation of legal education in the post-Soviet period

Abstract

The article analyzes the process of transformation of legal education in the post-Soviet period. The growing popularity of the profession leads to an increase in the number of students, law faculties appear in all regions of the Russian Federation, even non-core higher education institutions are starting to train specialists. During the transition to a two-tier system, the training in the areas of the master's degree was significantly diversified. The active increase in the number of graduates in this specialty led to the introduction of forced restrictive measures, which were aimed at partially prohibiting the receipt of legal education by correspondence. Over the past five years, many new specialties have appeared within the framework of the legal education system, which are quite in demand among applicants.
