Development strategies of the teaching corps of Russia universities

The article presents a statistical "portrait" of a Russian higher education teacher based on an analysis of quantitative and qualitative characteristics and an assessment of his professional competencies. The work identifies the missing or currently absent competencies of university teaching staff, including digital competencies in education, incl. the use of artificial intelligence and self-learning systems to solve pedagogical problems, work with neural networks. Particular attention is paid to professional development tracks and a support system for teachers, especially young people, with an emphasis on individualizing the professional strategies of the teaching staff.
