Abstract

the article reveals a new institution introduced into the civil procedure of the Russian Federation – the institution of judicial conciliators, which is an alternative way to settle disputes between citizens. The concept of this procedure, the basic principles and requirements for candidates who apply for the role of judicial conciliators are presented. We also conducted a comparative analysis that allows us to distinguish judicial reconciliation from other conciliation procedures, and analyzed the pros and cons that may arise when using this institution in practice.
