The article presents an analysis of possible directions for using artificial intelligence in the process of building a smart industry. The widespread digitalization, the accumulation of arrays of versatile data on production and other processes, the development of high-performance hardware and sophisticated software have created the basis and contributed to the formation of new opportunities for the development of artificial intelligence and its active industrial use. In this regard, the understanding of promising directions for the development of this area is of particular relevance.
