Involvement to work of condemned to deservation of freedom

Abstract

The work of those sentenced to imprisonment is one of the means of correcting convicts. For convicts, work is an obligation. The convict's attitude to work determines his attitude to correction in general. Attracting convicts to paid work is an opportunity to compensate material and moral harm to victims, it is an opportunity to pay alimony obligations, possible future employment prospects after serving a sentence. The article is devoted to the work of convicts serving a sentence of imprisonment. The article reveals the legal regulation of the labor of those sentenced to imprisonment. Some positive examples of attracting convicts to paid work are revealed. Some problems are identified, which are noted by theorists and practitioners dealing with this issue.
