Subjects of procedural activity during the preliminary inquiry in an abbreviated form.

Abstract

Federal Law No. 23-FZ of 04.03.2013 introduced Chapter 32.1 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation "Pre-trial inquiry in an abbreviated form". Having analyzed the materials of 70 criminal cases in which preliminary inquiry was conducted in an abbreviated form and which were considered by the courts of the Vladimir region in the period from 2016 to 2021, the author describes the subjects of procedural activity during the preliminary inquiry in an abbreviated form. The author includes among them the preliminary inquiry body, the head of the preliminary inquiry body, the head of the preliminary inquiry unit, the preliminary inquiry officer, the investigator, the prosecutor and the judge.
